Our History
Established in 1950, Mira Costa High School (MCHS), or Costa, is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD),
Mira Costa High School is the only high school in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. The school's mascot is the Mustang and the school colors are green and gold. In 2021, Mira Costa unveiled its new athletic complex. It is one of the largest in Southern California and can seat up to 2500 guests.
Mira Costa High School is nationally recognized for academic and athletic excellence. Mira Costa Girls Indoor Volleyball is consistently ranked one of the top 10 volleyball programs in the Nation.
